The definition of Fable is: “a legendary story of supernatural happenings and/or a narration intended to enforce a useful truth”. Here at Fable we embody both meanings. Our retreats are intended to ignite the supernatural creative magic that resides inside every photographer, as well as provide the tools and truths necessary to go forth and show that magic to the world in the form of a financially successful and impactful business.
Whether you are emerging or established, Fable is designed to provide you with the time you need to recharge your creativity and blossom your business.
Over the course of one epic late summer day, you will participate in hands-on workshops led by award winning and internationally renowned photographers Kelsey Goodwin (Kgoodphoto) and Becca Carroll (Rivkah).
We believe in leaving Fable with inspiring images for your portfolio and we also believe in something deeper. We promise that you will leave our time shared together with a new sense of purpose in your photography business and a roadmap to realize it.
The workshops are designed to be the perfect fusion between Art and Business so you can get your fill of both to fuel your passion.
The workshops feature revolutionary editing practices, photography techniques that will harness your talent, and tried and true business practices that will take your career to new heights!
Exclusively for Fable, we have also organized stunningly ethereal styled shoots featuring models and products from local vendors and artisans of Vancouver Island.

As if all of this couldn’t get any better, Fable will be taking place where the forest meets the sea at the secluded Bilston Creek Farm. Bilston is truly where #PNW dreams are made of! Get ready for an escape of creative and business rejuvenation amongst lavender fields, heritage apple trees, historical farm buildings, and glamorous yurt-like tents.
